BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT:

The Department of English started its prestigious journey from the year 1979 onwards. Since its inception, this department has meritoriously focused on the all round development of the Undergraduate students. Faculties have solemnly resolved to chisel each student’s academic excellence through partaking all possible time relevant teaching methods. Adopting sincerity and dedication, this department has curated existing as well as passed out students to be amplified and competent enough to pursue their glorious future. Alongside, the classroom teaching English Department encourages students to engage in several co-curricular lessons. Continuous organization of Seminars, Webinars, Motivational Talks is a signature venture of this department; which helps to energize budding minds to boost their best. The English Department also regularly publishes its Wall Magazine titled The Criterion. Through The Criterion, students textually articulate their ideas, issues and intelligence decked with artistic acumen. Ceaseless endeavour of this department has metamorphosed students' persuasion and perspicacity which has resulted into their participatory act of representing the college in multiple state and national level academic events. Several laurels of pride have been brought to this institution by the students of this department. Teachers of this department also share faith to turn themselves into a friend, philosopher and guide to the students. They precisely mentor and monitor each student as per the requisite.
