Netaji Subhash Mahavidyalaya, Udaipur, established in 1964 and the department of Political Science was established in 1979.The department has a capacity of 66 seats for Political Science Major students and caters to the students of the Gomati district and its nearby district of Shipahijala and South Tripura .             1) On the 30th of August, 2018, the Department of Political Science organized a lecture series           on the topic “Local Governance in Northeast India: Scope, Trends and Challenges” in the      College at 11: 00 am.

               2) On the 12th of March, 2019, a One Day Seminar Cum Awareness Programme on    “Provision of Protection of Civil Rights Act, 1955, SC and ST Prevention of Atrocities   Act, 1989, Amendment Act, 2015 and Rules, 2016” was organised by the department of          Political Science, Netaji Subhash Mahavidyalaya, Udaipur at 11 am in the seminar Hall of         the college.

 3) On 31st July, 2020, The Department of Political Science in collaboration with the   Department of Kokborok, Netaji Subhash Mahavidyalaya, Udaipur conducted a One-day             International Webinar on “Necessity of State Intervention In Language Development: A        Panel Discussion On Kokborok, Bodo, Garo, Dimasa And Allied Languages” from 1 PM    TO 5 PM IST through StreamYard and YouTube.

          On 30th June 2020, the department of Political Science organised a National Webinar on   “Covid-19 Pandemic: Challenges of Politics and Administration in India” through Google      Meet.
